What to do when you don’t have enough time or money for ‘success’

don't have enough time or money

Many people often blame a lack of resources as the number one reason they can’t do what they want to do, or why they can’t follow their heart. There’s either not enough time, money or both to create the life you want.

It is true, without abundant resources I could not do my work as powerfully as I do now.

With money we can all create more resources for ourselves: you can hire a nanny or a cleaner to free up time so you can focus on work that brings your life meaning, you can hire marketing help to grow your impact or a support team so you can dedicate your time to your priorities and what you love doing the most.

Don’t use a lack of resources as an excuse

If you think you don’t have enough time or money for success, take a closer look at what or who is around you.  Lack of resources is often just an excuse for not stepping up. As soon as you start showing up, you immediately start building up your resources. Even if you can only shift a small percentage of your resources (time or money) to support your ‘bigger life’, over time that little step if done consistently, will cumulate and add up.

“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”

Arthur Ashe

The truth is that often, we are afraid to acquire wealth or ask for a raise because when we do, we immediately start increasing our POWER. It’s easier to assume nothing can be done and refuse to accept the resources you actually have at the present moment. (We all have more resources and opportunities than we are aware of.)

We see this often in our global DrivenWoman community, women shying away from their true power and hiding their brilliance.  Our mission is to help women shine and help everyone make a start on their journey to success.

Nothing changes, unless you change something

We get emails from women who ask how can they change their circumstances when the current job or business takes up all their time and pays the bills. There seems to be no room for any movement. How can they step out to create more resources to facilitate a transition to a wealthier, more abundant life?

It is understandable to see the reality as it presents itself in our daily lives. You may be unable to clearly see options or a way forward. This leads to staying inside your head worrying and then repeating the daily patterns without a way out. If you find yourself in that situation you can ask yourself:

  • Do I ever stop?
  • Do I give myself time to think outside the limitations of my daily life?
  • Do I DARE to explore beyond the world known to me right now?

As Marie Forleo so brilliantly says “Everything is figureoutable!”

It’s time to step out of the daily race, even if you can only find 30 minutes a couple of times a week. It will help you to realise that you have more resources than you previously realised.

Remember, you might not know exactly how you can create a more abundant future right now, but please know, that you have everything you need to take the next step.
